Hmmm...What's On My Mind

RANDOM THINGS I HAVE BEEN THINKING:

1. Henry James Jennings is a PRECIOUS baby with a lot of dark hair.

2. We have 11 wheeled objects (not including our cars) under our carport.

3. All three of the Seney girls LOVE Popsicles.

4. My legs are VERY white, but I am trying to break the bad habit of sunbeds.

5. I am excited that Audrey and I are going to my sister's this weekend (Abby is staying with her daddy because Audrey and I haven't had much "big girl" time lately).

6. My dad and his wife are in Mexico...I wonder if they have started to "oink" or grow squiggly pink tails? (just kidding; I spoke with them and they are fine).

7. I would consider having another baby just so I could buy him/her some of those cute "baby legs".

8. Why don't the "powers that be" turn on the air conditioner at work? Why do they have the control in a locked box?

Okay, I think that is all that has been on my mind lately. Tomorrow is Wednesday...half-way through the week! Hang in there. We can make it!

What's One More??

Caleb and I had the opportunity to babysit our friends (Cody and Morgan) little girl, Marlee. She is 4 months younger than Abby and is a sweet little girl! She and Abby played and Audrey did an excellent job "babysitting" them both.

The weather was so nice, they played outside for awhile Friday evening. The picture below cracks me up...not sure what I was focusing on! Audrey and Abby are looking up at an airplane, but I think Marlee is only concerned with her juice!

For some reason, my girls LOVE to play in Abby's crib. Marlee joined in on the fun, too. Unfortunately, by the time I took the picture, Abby had had enough...I am sure that is obvious by her sad little face!

After getting into their pajamas, it was time for a little late night snack. Aren't they cute all on the chair together??

The night came to an end with a little relaxing and movie-watching!

Marlee is precious and we would love to have her back anytime! Audrey is already anxious to have her back so she can "babysit" again!!

FLOWER GIRLS

Before I even start my post, I must do this....HENRY JAMES JENNINGS was born today and he is PRECIOUS!!

Now I can start. Audrey and Abby had the opportunity to be flower girls in a wedding this past weekend. Steven and Teri were married on Saturday. Aren't they a beautiful couple??
I "borrowed" this picture off of Steven's Facebook profile. Hope he doesn't mind!
Steven and Caleb have worked together for years (not sure how many) at MedCamps. He and Teri often babysit our girls (at no charge...they are AWESOME people)!! So, we felt very honored when they asked our girls to be a part of their special day.
The girls did okay at the rehearsal, but were ready for the fried fish and trimmings after practicing. The picture below is AFTER practice, but BEFORE dinner. The expressions on their faces probably give that information away.
Audrey did GREAT at the wedding. She went down the aisle and even "tossed" (okay, threw) the flower petals down like a pro...Abby on the other hand wanted no part of it. Audrey tried desperately to pull her down the aisle, but she didn't budge from her momma.
The reception was at the Norton Building and was beautiful. Abby insisted on walking up and down the stairs REPEATEDLY! I am sad to report that my legs were a little sore the next day!
Because of all the rain on Friday and Saturday, there were many water puddles, which meant a lot of fun for the girls to jump and play in! At that point, I didn't even care. They had fun. I even had to tie the tulle layer of Abby's dress in a knot because she kept stepping on it while she attempted the stairs.

Here is Audrey showing me her wet tights and shoes

Abby's turn to splash...do you like the knot I fashioned?

Audrey and her Daddy

I LOVE this precious picture!!
Did I mention that the rehearsal dinner was at the Norton Building too? It was raining sooo hard Friday night, but it was really pretty, even in the rain. You just had to stay under the covered areas. I think Audrey summed up the wedding weekend best when she asked me,
"WHY DIDN'T THE BUILDERS JUST BUILD A ROOF ON THIS BUILDING?"
(referring to the Norton Building)

Just to Catch You Up...

So, what have the Seney's been up to?? This has been a busy weekend so far. Caleb's camp director, Steven and his fiance, Teri, were married today and Audrey and Abby were the flower girls. Audrey did great. Abby, not so much. I will post pictures of the rehearsal and wedding later.

Other than that, we have just been doing the usual. I will add that we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Cousin Henry...most of you in the bloggy world are familiar with this I am sure. Can't wait to hear/read news of the progress (or lack there of).

I will leave you with these two pictures. The first one is Abby with her daddy's boots on. I think I asked her whose shoes she had on and she pointed to her daddy...so sweet!!

The second picture is Audrey. She is always wanting someone to take her picture so she can pose. I didn't think much of it. Caleb, on the other hand, was a little disturbed by the way she was posing and the fact that she was on a table...should we be concerned???!!!

Happy weekend, everyone!!

EASTER SUNDAY

I LOVE this picture, which is surprising because typically I HATE any picture that has my face in it. I have learned to look past my selfish ways, though, because look how genuinely happy all three of us are in this picture.
Easter morning started out a little rough....kids slept late, ate chocolate bunnies for breakfast, and both had a meltdown before we made it to church. Honestly, we didn't even make it to the service. We teach 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School and there is a 9:00 service for the teachers...we just could not make it! We did make it in time to teach, but did not take any pictures of the girls in their Easter dresses. By the time we got home from church, we were all starving and my attempt at a photo shoot did not go well. We were going to go to Springhill, but the weather was yucky ans we just didn't want to get out with both girls.
The day did get better. After lunch, we had a LONG nap and then we all just hung out and played. The girls and I were laying on our bed and watching bits and pieces of "The Sound of Music" when Caleb took our picture.
So, the only picture you will see of our Easter is this one. It is genuine. It is my favorite. I love my precious girls like nothing I could have ever imaged. I thank God for sending his Son to die for our sins. I thank God for his forgiving heart. I also thank God for entrusting us with these two precious miracles. I thank Him for allowing us to share our lives with them everyday. I pray that we, as parents, will do everything we can to raise them in a way that is pleasing to God.

Happy Birthday, Megan

Today Caleb's niece, Megan, had her 5th birthday party at Jumpin' Jupiter in Bossier. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius...a big room with a bunch of jumpy's (I am not sure of the technical name). The kids had a blast and were worn out. Both of our girls fell asleep on the ride home.

Tomorrow after church, we are headed to Springhill to spend Easter with Caleb's family. It's a Seney-filled weekend.

Audrey and Megan and some of the other girls at the party

Sweet Abby LOVES her food. Notice her hands in the picture with her daddy...trying to cover all bases!!
Happy Easter, everyone.

Busy Weekend to Come

So, what has been going on the last couple of days? Well, Abby is feeling much better and back to her old self...thank goodness!! Audrey has been busy with school with an Easter egg hunt to finish the short week.

Oh, I know what else...we now have a bull pup at our house. Yay!! Audrey got into A.E. Phillips!! We are all excited. I think it's pretty neat she will be going to the school her momma, aunt, uncle and cousins went to. She is excited, too. Actually, she is just excited to go to kindergarten!!

We have a busy weekend ahead that includes a birthday party and a family gathering in Springhill.

Happy Easter everyone. Enjoy the long weekend.

Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday afternoon Audrey and I went to the Easter egg hunt at our church. As you all know by know, Abby was sick and had to stay home. It was a beautiful day, just a bit windy! Audrey had a good time, but she was tired after a busy weekend.

Participating in crafts before the big hunt
Such a silly girl!

Listening to the book Mrs. Gwen read before it started

Comparing "goods"

"I see one, Momma"

Can I eat this??
The hunt was a nice end to a fun, but busy weekend. Happy 4-day work week!!

The Party That Was...NOT

Poor little Abby was sick Saturday, so her party had to be cancelled. So sad! My sister and her family and my brother and his family came in town for the party that didn't happen. But, life goes on and so we had a different party of sorts. Saturday was a beautiful day and I was able to spend the day with my siblings and their families and our mom at her house in Monroe. Sweet Caleb stayed home with the sick baby.

Abby's party was going to be at Pizza Inn because she has a deep affection for pizza. I had KaCee (KaCee's Sugar and Spice) make her cupcakes. They were so cute, so we decided to enjoy a few at Mom's Saturday. I did save about a dozen and will take them to Ms. Shelly's tomorrow for the kids to enjoy.

Aren't they cute?? Soooo good, too.

Ann, Andrew, Ashley and Madeline

Audrey, Madeline and Emma

Jack, Emma and Audrey...this makes me laugh out loud when I look at it!
I hate that Abby did not get to have her party, but I am so grateful she is feeling better. There is always next year, right??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET ABIGAIL KATE

It really is hard to believe our sweet Abby is 2 years old today. She is the most precious thing...we love her sweet spirit and personality. She's funny, too! It does not seem like she should be 2 already...I feel like we just brought her home, yet I really cannot remember what it was like without her. We are so blessed to have been given the gift of Abby.

Enjoy the following pictures. They are of our sweet baby girl over the past two years.

The last picture is sooooo sad. Sweet baby girl was sick on her birthday. She stayed in our bed most of the day. She is NEVER still and NEVER stops, so she obviously is sick. We went to the doctor today and she was given a shot of antibiotics so we are hoping she will feel better very soon.

Good Times

I have been off of work the past two days and have enjoyed spending time with my girls! Yesterday, Audrey had two friends from school come over and play. They were so cute and sweet. They played princess and "baked" cakes with play-doh. Sweet Audrey loves her friends so much that she cried when it was over.

Aren't they cute???
That other child of mine is a mess!! She loves macaroni and cheese and last night we just let her have at it. By the end, she was covered in cheese and was licking the bowl...that's my girl...never a lack of appetite.
Don't you just want to kiss her??
It is so hard to believe that Abby will be 2 on Sunday. Time truly does fly. It seems like we brought her home just yesterday. She has the sweetest spirit...she reminds me of her father.
We are having a small gathering Saturday night to celebrate. So, Lora, Elisha and any other family members, this is your official invitation; Pizza Inn Saturday at 5:00. Hope to see ya there!
