LAZY WEEKEND

We had a nice lazy weekend.  Not sure I am ready for it to end.........I have a busy work week that I am NOT looking forward to.  Yuck!!

Friday night we went over to Andrew and Ashley's for supper.  The girls love going to play with their cousins.  Abby and Madeline played fairly well and Audrey enjoyed playing with baby Julia.

Saturday the girls and I went to spend the night with LiLi.  They always have fun at her house.  She reads and reads and reads to them and they LOVE it!  Audrey said that even though she can read, she would rather have LiLi read to her.  So sweet!!

Sunday. we just laid around the house....cleaned a little; napped a little and then had pizza with Poppa and Honey.  After dinner, Poppa and Honey gave Audrey her charm bracelet they have started for her.  For 1st grade, she picked an artist's palette for her charm.  We joked that she could get a cast charm for 2nd grade.  Poor thing!!

Here she is showing off her bracelet
A little closer look........
Sweet Abby got a "fancy" Ariel necklace so as not to be left out

It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes I catch the girls being really sweet to one another.  I saw it this afternoon and had to capture it!
They really are sweet girls!!

Hope you have a great week and hope my flies by!!  We are headed to Thibodaux for the weekend and cannot wait to see Nanny, Uncle Steve, Emma and Jack.
Oh yea, Audrey has an appointment with Dr. Blair in the morning.  We are hoping she gets her cast off.  Fingers crossed.......

The Three Seney Kids and Abby Goes Back to School

The following sequence of pictures crack me up.  Initially, I was trying to get some pictures of Abby before she went to school today.  Today was her first day back at WMS.  This is her second year in pre-school.  She was pretty excited to go back.  Instead Abby and Audrey thought they needed to have pictures with Grover.  He wasn't a very willing participant..........

And here's Abby.....
Such a SWEET and PRECIOUS little girl!!

Abby will be going to school all day this year as opposed to half a day as she did last year.  She is so excited!  She is especially excited about her new nap mat and lunch box......you know the important things!!

Cousins and LiLi

The Ruston cousins came over yesterday to play.  They also came to see LiLi.  Abby and Madeline's relationship is complicated.  I'm certain they love each other because they are family, but sometimes I am not sure they like each other.  Abby's 2 months older than Madeline and that makes Madeline sooooo mad!!  Madeline is taller and just a little bigger than Abby and that makes Abby sooooo mad.  "Why is she bigger if I am older?"  I suppose this will go on for the next 20 years or so.......ha!  They are BOTH precious; that's certain!

Audrey LOVES Julia.  In fact, she loves all babies.  She spent most of the afternoon playing and holding Julia.  Sweet baby girl!
We love that LiLi comes over practically every Sunday.  The girls love to play with their LiLi.  It is even more fun when the cousins come, too.

As a side note, Poppa and Honey have started charm bracelets for Audrey and Emma (and the other girls when they get bigger).  They bought them James Avery charm bracelets and the summer after each school year they get to pick a charm.  So, by the time they graduate from high school, they will have a charm bracelet full of memories.  So neat!  Audrey had a hard time narrowing down her charm choice.  I tried to get her to get peas in a pod because she was a pea in her 1st grade class.  She quickly reminded me that she had strep throat and didn't even go to school the day of the play.  She also considered a few beach charms because we went to Watercolor with the family during Easter break.  She finally ended up choosing an artist's palette because she LOVES her art class with Mrs. Renee!  She's excited to get it.  What a neat idea!

Audrey's Arm

We went back to see Dr. Blair today. Abby's x-ray looked excellent and she was released from care. Yea!!!

Audrey's x-ray looked good, too. He was impressed with how wonderfully her arm is progressing and she was able to get a smaller cast. Her bone is starting to bow a little, but he wasn't too concerned. He showed her an exercise to do that she help with it. She was able to get a new smaller cast today. It is so much lighter and she can now bend her elbow. Today she chose a glow-in-the-dark cast. Pretty cool!!

Our Weekend

We had a great, busy weekend. Too bad I don't have any photos to prove it. I either take WAY too many pictures, or none at all. This weekend it was none. Oh, well.

Friday night the girls spent the night with Uncle Drew, Aunt Ashley and the girls. Andrew sent me a text at 7:30 Saturday morning and asked if Audrey could have a 3rd donut.....sure, that is what dental insurance is for, right?

Saturday the four of us went to Bossier and hung out with the Seney family. It was only slightly scary. Kidding! We had fun. Audrey and Abby love playing with their cousins, Megan and Jackson.

Sunday, we went to see "Annie" at the Dixie with Aunt Ashley, Madeline and LiLi. Again, a great time. The only drawback is my sore hand. I injured my hand from hitting mom (LiLi) every time she tried to join in and sing. I love you, Mom and you have a good voice, but you singing loudly in public is still hard for me. Just a lot of flashbacks to my childhood. The only thing that would have made it worse would have been if she were taking pictures with a polaroid. You know that noise, don't you. Quick side note....we always knew mom was at one of our functions when it was quiet in the AEP multipurpose room and then the LOUD noise of her polaroid. At least she was there, right? LOVE YOU, MOM!!

Last night I took Abby, Audrey and Audrey's friend Sophia to the RHS Bearcat Belles Style Show. We met Aunt Ashley, Madeline and Julia there. Julia is only 6 months, but it is never too early to attend your first style show. Our babysitter, Mrs. Shelly's daughter, Emily is a Belle and we loved watching her. Fun times!! At the end, the Belles performed to "Tootsie Roll". I am certain my girls were the only kids in the place familiar with that tune. We decided that the Belles doing the Tootsie Roll was just a tad different from the version Caleb taught our girls.

Happy week!!
