RANDOM THINGS

Abby has a new favorite place to hang out.....the refrigerator. Obviously, we don't allow her to do so very often, but she loves it! We have to be very careful when opening it- there's no time to look around-you must know exactly what you want and where it is or she will take a seat. Believe me, it is not pretty removing her from that seat!

She also likes to put bags, purses or anything will handles on her arm and act like she is leaving. She will wave, say bye-bye and head to the door. She managed to get Audrey's back pack the other day. It only lasted a second. Once Audrey saw her, it was all over with! Occasionally, Audrey will allow Abby to touch her things, but it is not often.

The moments are rare that they actually sit down and play together, but I managed to capture it the other day. They are really sweet to each other when they want to be!

One of Audrey's favorite things continues to be posing for the camera as demonstrated in the photo below. She cracks me up!

Hope you enjoyed the update on the Silly Seney Sisters.

Caleb and I managed to go to the movie last night with some other couples from our small group at church. We saw "Fireproof" and enjoyed it. I will warn you, take plenty of tissue if you go!

TWO SATURDAYS

Sweet Madeline (and her parents) came to visit last Saturday. The kids played so sweetly together! Above you will see them taking a break for a little snack.

This morning was beautiful! The sun was shining and the temperature was cool. Caleb, being the sweet father that he is, took the girls outside to play (in their pajamas). They were out for awhile, so I knew they must be enjoying themselves. When they finally did come in, I heard Abby screaming and Audrey whining. I went in the kitchen to check it out. They were both upset they had to come in. Apparently, Abby wanted to ride her red car in the street - and no where else. For her safety, Caleb had to bring them in. Notice the happy children below:

Caleb even tried to compromise by bringing the red car in, but that didn't do the trick, either. Thankfully, the day got better when LiLi came over. Both girls love their LiLi and have so much fun playing with her. One of their favorite things is to read books. LiLi brought each one a book so they were happy.

In case it is hard to tell, at this point Abby does have clothes on, but Audrey has on a dance recital costume. It belonged to an older girl in the neighborhood and it is one of Audrey's favorite things to wear. Silly girl!!

Anniversary/Birthday

We have had a full week and it is only Tuesday! Monday was our 7th anniversary. Wow!! Marriage is A LOT of work, but I cannot imagine doing it with anyone else....I consider myself a VERY lucky girl for catching such a good one. Caleb is an amazing man......our girls are blessed to have him as their father. He is such a good husband that Audrey and Abby will have VERY high expectations for a mate (maybe that is his plan??!!).

Today is Caleb's birthday. A lot of people ask why we married the day before his birthday. Well, I wanted to get married on October 6, 2001, but Caleb had a conflict on that day....LSU was playing Florida. So, September 22 was the other option.

Caleb, I hope your day was great....you deserve it. Love you bunches!!!

Oh, I know that no one is looking at the camera in the picture above, but look how sweetly Caleb and Abby are looking at each other. Precious!!

Abby

I cannot believe our sweet baby Abby is getting soooo big! It seems like she has grown so much lately. I have posted some pictures of her so you all can see what I am talking about. She might just be the sweetest baby EVER!!

This is Abby this morning eating breakfast. She LOVES this bear, Rosette, and has a hard time letting go of her.
She and Audrey love to pile pillows and blankets on the floor and play on them. Doesn't she look tall?

We went to Bossier last weekend to see Caleb's family. Again, doesn't she look so big? I can barely stand it!!!

Again, in Bossier. She used a fork all by herself and sat in a "big girl" chair!
I really cannot believe my baby is growing up so fast! Time flies!!!!

GRUMPY BALLERINA

Well, there are no pictures of Audrey in her dance outift. First of all, I didn't have the camera before class. So, I planned on picking her up and then getting some pictures of her. On our way home I stopped for gas (not an easy task thanks to IKE). I couldn't use my debit card at the tank and had to go inside and pay, so Audrey had to come in with me. In case you don't know, a convenience store is NOT the place to take a 4-year-old sugar-loving kid. We were inside less than 5 minutes and I had to literally pick her up off the dirty floor and drag her to the car. She was MAD because I would not buy her sour gummy worms (yuck!!!).

She whined most of the ride home. We were just about to pull in the drive way and she asked me if I could "bang" my car again. (Someone hit me while driving a couple of weeks ago and I was driving a mini-van rental while my car was being repaired). I said "No, we do not want to have another wreck." She then said with big tears rolling down her face, "Please, Mom, I want the mini-van back." I am not kidding - she was seriously distressed that we no longer had the mini-van.

Fortunately, she cheered up before the end of the evening. Abby, on the other hand, was sweet as could be - probably because she hasn't mastered talking or manipulation yet. I know it's coming, though!!!

Happy Happy Baby!!!!!!

Happy Audrey (FINALLY)

FALL IS HERE - SORTA

Well, according to our schedule fall is here, but according to the temperature, it is stiiiiilllllll summer! Audrey is into her school routine and is doing a lot of "big kid" work at Montessori and loving it! She has also started dance. Last week was her first week and she loves it, too. Sooo cute in her pink tights and black leotard (I will take her picture before class tomorrow). We are also started our church small group. Last night was the first night and I think we will have a good group - Caleb is FIRED UP for group - it takes me a little longer - Wednesdays are just so busy.

Audrey went to M&M's (missions and music) last night for the first time. She is so excited to be 4 and able to participate. Of course she loved it - she is just like her daddy - CANNOT get enough social interaction. Abby stayed in the nursery with the other younger kids. I was nervous (she has a serious attachment to my hip), but she did great and had a good time, too.

Pretty boring I know, but just updating y'all with what is going on with the Seney's.

Pictured below is Abby playing with the refrigerator magnents - one of her favorite past times!

BACK TO NORMAL

Okay, I think the Seney household is just about back to normal. My sister, Ann, and her kids Emma and Jack have been with us since last week. They were running from Gustav and finally got electricity back yesterday and were able to go home. My BIL, Steve, did not leave Thibodaux, but instead chose to weather the storm. Glad to report he is just fine!!

I cannot believe this, but in all our together time, I did not take one picture! Ann did and has promised to email them to me so when she does I will share.

Even though it was a stressful time, Ann and I were able to have TWO nights out together without kids. Thank you Caleb, Poppa, Honey and LiLi!!!! What a sweet family we have!

Hope everyone is safe and sound after Gustav. Please join me in praying that Ike changes his mind. Have a nice week.
