Christmas Break

So far, we have had a nice break. Caleb and I are both off of work (for the most part) for this week and next. We have had fun with the girls so far. Although, Audrey has requested to go to Mrs. Shelly's tomorrow (the babysitter), which is fine with me......that means I have no excuse to not clean my house!!

Monday night, we worked on the gingerbread Christmas tree. The girls had so much fun doing this. We did one last year, too.

Yesterday we went to see "Tangled" such a cute movie!! All four of us loved it. Caleb and Audrey are excited about going to see "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" over the break, too. Caleb read the whole Narnia series to Audrey a few years ago and LOVED it. Sweet Audrey loves to read.
A few weeks ago, Audrey and Abby asked if they could play with the Bend-a-roos. For the record, I despise them!! They are sticky and so hard to get off the floor - tile and carpet. Audrey saw the infomercial a while back for them and asked for some. Yuck!! Anyway, Caleb and I helped them make pigs with the bend-a-roos. When we were done, Abby thought they needed to be added to her Little People Nativity (or as she say, activity) scene. Can you spot them???

Today we braved the mall to see Santa. It was not bad at all!! We didn't even have to wait in line to see Santa. He was such a good Santa. So sweet with the girls. He took a lot of time with them and talked with them. Abby has been wanting to know what Santa's middle name is, so she had her chance to ask him. He said that he doesn't have a middle name, but that his nickname is St. Nick. Such a sweet Santa!!

I even think the picture turned out pretty cute. I am just amazed at how big my girls are getting. They are growing up so quickly. It kind of makes me sad......but not enough to have another baby!!!

Pictures!!!

We had the pictures done this past Wednesday of the girls. We love them!!!! Jenn Kilpatrick is awesome. She did a great job......especially considering her subjects (the girls were not all that cooperative!!).

Look at the previous post to see our Christmas card for this year.

I highly recommend her. www.brennphotography.com

Thanksgiving

Well, I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures over Thanksgiving. We had a great weekend with family. Ann and her family came in town and we were able to spend time with Mom and Dad.

We had Thanksgiving Dinner at our house on Thursday with Ann, Andrew, their families and Mom. We went and spent time with Dad and Laurie that evening. On Friday evening we had a Mini-Christmas with Mom and on Saturday, we rode in the Jonesboro Christmas Parade with Honey (Laurie). The kids had a GREAT time!!

I did not do a very good job taking pictures, I didn't even have my camera. but I did manage a few with my phone.

Hopefully Ann, Ashley, Mom and Dad will share theirs!!

Pepper Alley (Pep Rally in Audrey and Abby speak)

The girls and I went to the pep rally this morning with Ashley and Madeline. We had fun, but is was so hot!! I have been cursed with what we like to call the "James sweat glands" and they were in full force!!

Audrey loved it!! She loved the dancers and loved seeing Champ. Abby, on the other hand, was very scared of Champ and practically crawled up my leg when he came anywhere near her.

Before the pep rally
During the pep rally, Audrey went and found Champ and sat in his lap like they were long lost friends. Too cute. I didn't have my camera, but Ashley did, so she got a picture. Later on, my friend Stephanie told me that Audrey and Champ were on the La Tech facebook page. She thinks she is famous now! Ha!

Audrey told me her favorite thing about this picture is that her red socks are showing. She was very excited this morning to put them on. It is the little things, I guess.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND = FAMILY REUNION

What a fun weekend!! Ann, Steve, Emma and Jack came to town on Friday and stayed until Monday morning. We spend the day with Mom on Saturday and then attended the annual James Family Reunion on Sunday. I think this was the best reunion to date. The kids played and had so much fun, but I think my dad may have had the most fun. We visited and ate and then Dad brought out the water guns. Definitely the highlight of the day. I didn't even bring my camera, but thanks to my cousin-in-law (is there such a term??), Caroline, I am able to share some pictures. Also, Aunt Lora and Cousin Camille posted pics on their blogs, look to the right for old lady athlete and Jennings Secede. Any who, enjoy the pictures!

Judge Troublemaker, oh, I mean, Dad

Look at her mouth...the concentration...too funny, Audrey

This is by far the BEST picture of the day. It will be framed and in my home SOON!!

Sweet Abby Goes to School

Well, my baby went to school today. She started Wildflower Montessori School. Audrey went there for 2 years and we fell in love!! The BEST school. Abby is in Ms. Lauren's class. She taught Audrey both years and has been one of our favorite people since. She still helps me by getting Audrey a couple of days a week from Phillips.

So, it is now Abby's turn to hang out with Ms. Lauren. She did great today. She didn't cry or fuss. When I picked her up she was all smiles.

She can be a bit dramatic at times!
Loves to pose

Precious girl!!!
Not long after I picked Abby up from school, I saw this. Lauren had taken her picture during the morning. Another reason we love Ms. Lauren!!

That is a genuine smile!
I know she had a great day and she cannot wait to go back tomorrow. My sweet baby is growing up!!

Back To School

It is hard to believe that Audrey is in 1st grade. Wow!! Time does fly.

She tried to get out of this. She should know by now that we are always going to take her picture!
Much better!!

At her desk

With her BFF, Sophia
Abby starts WMS on Wednesday. Now, that is really hard to believe. She is still a baby!! :( I am having a hard time allowing her to grow up. Stay tuned for those pictures.

BIG GIRL!!!

Audrey FINALLY lost a tooth!! Most of her friends/cousins have lost at least one tooth and I think she was feeling left out! She lost it Thursday morning at Mrs. Shelly's, the babysitter. Mrs. Shelly is so sweet she send me a picture immediately on my phone so I could see. Love Mrs. Shelly!!

Audrey was so excited for the tooth fairy to come!! She did and guess what Audrey wanted to buy with her money?? SILLY BANDS. Are y'all familiar with Silly Bands? They are basically rubber bracelets in different shapes and are ALL THE RAGE.....well, according to Audrey. We have about 124,259,356 laying around our house now.

Enjoy the following pictures. BTW, Ann if you are reading this, DO NOT TELL EMMA AND JACK ABOUT AUDREY'S TOOTH! She is so excited to show them this weekend.

Audrey and her tooth (yes, it is hard to see)
Audrey and her pewter tooth container that LiLi bought her years ago and she has been waiting to use!

Poor Abby....so sad....she wanted a tooth to sleep with :(
Next week is vacation.........Destin with the cousins!! FUN TIMES!!

COUSINS

In late May, we made the trip to Little Rock to Madeline's birthday. Mom had Emma and Jack for the weekend, so they came too. It was a long day because we made it a day trip. FYI, that was not really a good idea and I do not recommend it to anyone!!! Caleb and I were teaching 5th and 6th grade Sunday School, so I needed to get back. Anyway, it was a long day, but lots of fun and so glad we did it. Also, the kids had not been to Madeline's house (how pitiful is that??) and since they were moving a couple of weeks after the party, this was their chance.

For some reason, we have not been able to get a current picture of the James cousins, so we took the opportunity. I took this picture with my phone, but Ashley took some with her camera, but she has not emailed them to me yet (hint, hint!!).

Aren't they the cutest kids EVER??!!

Poor Abby...

Our sweet little Abby is sick. We went to the doctor this morning. She has a fever, yucky cough and "crackling" lungs. Not pneumonia, but she was put on an antibiotic.
Audrey opted to stay home with Abby as opposed to going to the babysitter. She went to the doctor with us and had a large bag full of books so that she could read to her sister while we waited. So sweet!!
It is really hard when your child is sick and both parents work! UGH! Caleb and I usually take turns. I stay home in the mornings and Caleb in the afternoons. It never fails, though, the day I am home with a sick child is the day that everything at work falls apart. I know, this too shall pass, but it is a bit stressful!!
Abby is feeling better, but we are keeping her home again tomorrow. I'm sure Audrey will opt to stay home again, too.
Hope everyone else has had a better Monday!!

Day Two....

I cannot believe I am posting again today!! Really, I am making a better effort! Unfortunately, there really is not a lot going on...pretty boring people!

Abby woke up not feeling well this morning. So, she and I stayed home from church and Audrey and Caleb went. Audrey loves church and does not like to miss! We asked her if she wanted to stay home with me and Abby, but she would have none of that business...

After nap time, LiLi came over to visit. The girls played in the blow up pool in the backyard (that Caleb strategically placed under the slide to the swing set and hooked up the water hose to)while LiLi and I visited and watched. After a little bit of playing, we all enjoyed sno cones. Yum! Since camp is under way, Caleb has been working on Sunday afternoons, so it was just the girls.

That about sums up our day. Getting ready for another Monday....UGH!

STILL HERE...

I have been REALLY bad at updating my blog. Not sure why, but I am going to make a better effort. Right now, I should be cleaning my house, but I DO NOT like to clean and the pool is not open yet, so this was my only choice....

So far, the smmer has been nice. We go to the pool almost daily. Andrew, Ashley and Madeline have moved back to Ruston (yea!!), so we have spent time with them, too. We are looking forward to a beach trip with the Miller's at the end of the month.

Abby had her 3rd birthday in April and Audrey will be 6 in July. SOOOO hard to believe! Audrey will be in 1st grade and Abby will start Wildflower Montessori School in the fall (so excited; we love WMS!!).

I will do a better job of updating. Maybe....

UPDATE

What's been happening in the Seney world??  Not much!  Last Saturday, the girls got their haircut.  It has been a looooong time since they have had it cut.  I think they both look really cute!  Audrey is really not into bows anymore, so her new 'do really works well for that change.  Abby hair had grown into a mullet, so it was time for her to get a trim, too.

Friday was jersey day at AEP, so Caleb insisted on getting "Big A" a Saints jersey.  I have to admit, she does look cute!!

Abby felt like she needed to wear one, too, so she wore the LSU jersey.  I find it a bit strange that we have two kid's football jerseys in a house with two little girls!!  Grover even posed for this one!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.  Stay warm!!
