Before I even start my post, I must do this....HENRY JAMES JENNINGS was born today and he is PRECIOUS!!
Now I can start. Audrey and Abby had the opportunity to be flower girls in a wedding this past weekend. Steven and Teri were married on Saturday. Aren't they a beautiful couple??
I "borrowed" this picture off of Steven's
Facebook profile. Hope he doesn't mind!
Steven and Caleb have worked together for years (not sure how many) at MedCamps. He and Teri often babysit our girls (at no charge...they are AWESOME people)!! So, we felt very honored when they asked our girls to be a part of their special day.
The girls did okay at the rehearsal, but were ready for the fried fish and trimmings after practicing. The picture below is AFTER practice, but BEFORE dinner. The expressions on their faces probably give that information away.
Audrey did GREAT at the wedding. She went down the aisle and even "tossed" (okay, threw) the flower petals down like a pro...Abby on the other hand wanted no part of it. Audrey tried desperately to pull her down the aisle, but she didn't budge from her momma.
The reception was at the Norton Building and was beautiful. Abby insisted on walking up and down the stairs REPEATEDLY! I am sad to report that my legs were a little sore the next day!
Because of all the rain on Friday and Saturday, there were many water puddles, which meant a lot of fun for the girls to jump and play in! At that point, I didn't even care. They had fun. I even had to tie the tulle layer of Abby's dress in a knot because she kept stepping on it while she attempted the stairs.
Here is Audrey showing me her wet tights and shoes
Abby's turn to splash...do you like the knot I fashioned?

I LOVE this precious picture!!
Did I mention that the rehearsal dinner was at the Norton Building too? It was raining sooo hard Friday night, but it was really pretty, even in the rain. You just had to stay under the covered areas. I think Audrey summed up the wedding weekend best when she asked me,
"WHY DIDN'T THE BUILDERS JUST BUILD A ROOF ON THIS BUILDING?"
