This and That

First of all, thank all of you for your sweet words of encouragement!!!  It really meant a lot to me!!  As I said in my last post, we were hoping to have a great weekend and we did!!  On Saturday, we went to Bossier to Caleb's sister's house.  The girls love to play with their cousins, Megan and Jackson.  Caleb's mom was also in town from Texas.  We had a great time!!

On Sunday, Caleb and the girls were in the backyard playing and Audrey asked Caleb about some play dough toy she saw in the storage building.  The truth is, Caleb's sister, Jennifer (the Bossier one) gave it to Audrey for her 2nd birthday and we never gave it to her......SO SORRY JENNY!!!  Play Do is so messy!!  Well, Audrey is almost 8 so we figured it was time.  Caleb set up the activity table and the girls had the best time....again, SO SORRY JENNY!!  Better late than never, right??

So, to add to our medical woes, I began having pain in my upper abdominal Saturday while we were in Bossier.  It sort of felt like heartburn and was radiating to my back.  Caleb's mom gave me a magnesium supplement.  It helped some.  I had eaten a lot that day.  Spicy chips and a rich chocolate and peanut butter dessert.  Maybe this was causing it??  By the time we got back to Ruston, the pain was really bad!!  We stopped at Walgreens and I got some zantac.  It didn't help.  While we were in Bossier, Caleb's sister (who happens to be an RN), mentioned something about gallbladder.  So, being the freak that I am, I began researching my symptoms online.  I know it's never a good idea, but I couldn't help myself!!  So, I convinced myself that I had some serious problem.  So much so that I drove myself to the ER!!  Caleb asked if I wanted him to come, but calling a sitter seemed silly (as if me going to the ER wasn't silly!!).  The ER was crowded.  I looked around and there was a pitiful teenage boy practically laying on the floor in tears from some sort of pain.  There was a college-aged guy who had had a motorcycle accident that was disoriented.  Ummmm....I was realizing that maybe I didn't really need to be there; you know taking time and attention from the REAL sick people!!  So, I left.  I went to the doctor today and I am pretty sure I am not dying!  Yea!!  Instead, he felt it was best to rule out indigestion, so he gave me some some prescription antacid and told me to follow the indigestion diet for a week and if it isn't better to come back.  Y'all, I am freaking out about the diet!!  These are the no-no's:  fried food, acidic food, coffee, chocolate, caffeine and peppermint!!  WHA???!!  Those are my food groups!  Well, not really, but I LOVE Coke Zero and I LOVE coffee with my peppermint mocha creamer...I am so sad!!!  I am determined to do it though, because the pain was/is BAD!!  And to top it all off, I also have a sinus infection.  Am I 37 or 85???  Hard to tell these days!!  :)  I will be sure and let y'all know how the horrific caffeine and coffee free week goes.  Caleb told me that he has heard that once you are over the hump of the withdrawal symptoms that I will feel great and not want to go back to the evil ways of before.  Of course, he told me this as he sipped his Coke Zero and ate his chocolate dessert!!!!  :)
